Enthusiatic ending for the second edition of Sighisoara Film Festival

\"On behalf of the institution that I represent, I would like to thank you for your effort, your enthusiasm and tenacity with which you accomplished this beautiful dream called Sighisoara Film festival. We appreciated very much your will to pass through all obstacles - most of them objective ones - that have come your way, the superhuman efforts that you\'ve made for the success of the event. I thank you even on behalf of the ones that are not yet aware of the gift that you\'ve made Sighisoara by choosing it as main location for the festival. As I said before, I trust the good star and future of Sighisoara Film Festival that, if it manages to maintain the growth that has been accomplished from the first to the second edition, has all the chances to arrive fast an unmissable event \", declared Anca Ratiu, speaker of the Town Hall in Sighisoara. 

In deed, the second edition of the Sighisoara Film Festival meant a clear evolution from the first one, considering its expanded concept - from the Romanian best films from the previous year to films that have been awarded in the most important European film festivals and one guest country that presented us specific cinema - and its growth when it comes to feed-back, the public number unexpectably high, the atmosphere that was so open and enthusiastic. \"In Memoriam..\" was impressive. We were proud to have among us Gabriela Dinica, the wife of the great actor that was Gheorghe Dinica, people who have met anh have been close to him. 

The 99 seconds contest had a winner - Ana Maria Mares - that spreads joy because of her energy and will to be better every day at what she does. Since we arrived to the youngster announcements, we have to say how proud we were to have the support of Cloud Factory to organize arts and crafts workshops and teach about 150 children what to do for a better world. Workshops were also different, because we had many themes to talk about: financing and opportunities offered by the MEDIA Programme, international competitions and innovative technologies offered by Microsoft.

  Apart from the guests that we already mentioned, we had among us great names of the romanan cinema, people like Radu Iacoban, Nap Toader, Andrei Gruznicki, Vlad Logigan, Nicoleta Hancu, Diana Cavaliotti, Andrei Dascalescu, Dan Ratiu, Paul Negoescu, Mihai Bendeac, Mirela Zeta, Andreea Gramosteanu, Gabriel Cotabita, Radu Gabriel, Andrei Aradits. The International guests were Ferenc Moldovanyi, Gyula Nemes, Maureen Prins, Alessandro Battaglini, M. Toth Geza.

This year, we had not two, but three screenings locations: Town Square, club Aristocrat and Port.ro room for workshops. 

In conclusion, the second edition of Sighisoara film Festival, an event that took place between the 22nd and the 27th of June 2010, was a real success. The organizers hope the event will still grow in the future and become a celebration that will manage to gather more and more tourists, filmmakers, young people. 

Sighisoara Film festival was organize\\d by the Romanian Foundation for Education and Educators (F.R.E.E.) in collaboration with the sighisoara Town Hall and Council.
